Its a really rainy day for doing much walking so Mary decided to sit in a covered boat and take a rainy cruise along the Potomac River. Fortunately the rain let up quite a bit on the return.
The cruise passed many interesting and unknown buildings.
We also passed (or could easily see) many well known monuments and buildings such as the Washington Monument,
the Lincoln Memorial,
the Jefferson Memorial,
the Watergate Apartments,
the Reagan International Airport
the national cathedral (from a distance)
and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
After the cruise the weather was dry enough for walking around and seeing a few of the other buildings
and neighborhoods of the city.
